A Real Woman.

A Real Woman

You can’t hold a real woman down

She always wears a crown

She listens to her heart, soul and mind

Negativity she shuts down and it’s nowhere to be found

She demands respect from you, her and him

Her mind matures as life throws challenges and people at her

She knows herself

She knows her limits

Doesn’t put up with any gimics

She put her foot down when it’s time

Knows when she needs to be alone and have “me” time

No one gets in the way of her grind

She knows when to let her light shine

When she makes her mind up; that’s it

You can talk about her, try her or even hate on her

But you can’t get her out of her character

She’s too classy

She’s a lady in the streets

And ladies you know a freak in the sheets

When it comes to herself

She does what she does

And knows how to do it, right

She makes moves and keep it moving

Only the strong rides with her

Weak ones get left behind

If you a real woman, strong and true

You know what I’m talking about

You already know you a real woman

My reason for writing this poem is to get that confidence and the spunk back with woman. I was in a developmental stage with myself which I still am at 22, but I want to get what a real woman consist of because I think and believe that many woman think and believe because they are a certain age they’re grown or they are a woman. I don’t think just because your 20-25 years old your a woman, I think when your mature, stable financially and strong on EVERY level phyiscally, emotionally and mentally your a woman. Not all females are mature and they repeat mistakes that are preventable. Which is the opposite of what a mistake is, when you make mistakes you learn from them and a woman grows to make progress. It’s something I talk about all the time with my family and friends. I do try to help any female I know or come across of to become that ideal woman they see themselves but some woman are too stuck on getting a man or having a man to fulfill their own dreams and destiny. So this poem is my definition of what a real woman is. Many seem to agree with me too, lol.
